You can now recycle newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogs, office and school papers, mail, fax paper, notebooks, and folders - 24 hours, 7 days a week. We earn money for paper dropped off at our green and yellow Abitibi paper retriever bins.
We have two bright green and yellow containers called paper retrievers located in the lower parking lot of the Church property for your convenience.
Aluminum Can Recycling Program
Your Home and School Association takes another initiative to help our environment and to raise money for the educational mission of Maternity B.V.M. School. We are in partnership with Penn Treaty Metal Company. They will place an outdoor container for the sole purpose of recycling aluminum cans. The container will be located in the school lot near the school trash area.
You are encouraged to use this service by bringing aluminum cans for recycling. In order to protect the children from bees, we respectfully ask you to:
- rinse out your aluminum cans with water
- deposit them in the large outdoor container for recycling cans
Penn Treaty Metal Company will pay the Home and School Association $0.30 per lbs as per pick-up. The more we can recycle aluminum cans the more this money goes back to enrich the educational mission of our school children.
The Aluminum Can Recycling Program will begin on Monday, October 2, 2006.
